Today is International Overdose Awareness Day, and just like the majority of Windsor County residents I too have felt the impact of overdoses. My generation has lost classmates, friends, and young people who had so much more life left to live. In my own journey with alcohol recovery I have seen the remarkable power that community and peer support can have on preventable death from substance abuse disorder. I was heartbroken, but inspired by the stories shared on the common in Windsor tonight and I will work as your next State Senator to make sure those stories continue to be heard in Montpelier. Special thank you to @beccabalintvt for making the trip north to speak. Major gratitude to the organizers and @teraaahh specifically for (as said at the event) the profile in courage you displayed.

Blue wave is coming Vermont! 🌊 Thank you to the @vtdems for hosting a fantastic Unity Rally today in Montpelier. It matters that we all come together after a primary season as competitive as this one, and I am so grateful for the kindness and celebration our party showed today. Hometown Honk n Wave 👋 in Hartford today! 🚪 Started the afternoon door knocking with Esme Cole (running for State Representative for the Windsor 6 District!) and spent the late afternoon waving at the intersection of RTE 5 & 14 with my favorite folks. ⭐️ I have a few sadnesses with not running for re-election to the House and campaigning to be a State Senator, and one of the biggest is not being Rep. Coach Christie’s seat mate. Please re-elect Coach Hartford!
